Compact and Eco-Friendly Cars

Boasting a roomy interior and excellent fuel efficiency, the Nissan Versa Note is a great little hatchback. The design may be familiar to some. This is the smaller very of the subcompact sedan car called the Versa. Models from before 2014 were simply called the Versa Hatchback.

Hatchback cars are not noted for being luxurious monstrosities. The Nissan Versa Note is a study in minimalism and efficient use of space. A great example of Nissan future cars, the Note is sold in three trims. The S trim is the most minimal. Owners are treated to steel-rimmed wheels, an adjustable driver’s seat, air-conditioning, manual windows and four speakers. The S Plus adds a continuously variable transmission and active grill shutters for better fuel economy. The driver can also relax with cruise control. The SV package is the most luxurious. It features powered windows and locks, nicer interior trim with a leather wrapped wheel. It even has Bluetooth.

The Note is powered by a fuel sipping 1.6 liter four-cylinder engine. It puts out 109 horsepower and 107 pound-feet of torque. This is not a car that will win any races. What it will do is get you where you need to go, with a minimal amount of fuel needed.

Optional Features and More

The SV trim has a number of extra packages that can be ordered. Most simply add more high end features to the car. Options include a rear-view camera and 360-degree parking system, touch screen control surfaces, built-in GPS navigation and a USB input for the stereo.

Eco friendly cars are not always that roomy. While the Note is not huge, it does have a very roomy rear seat and hatch. While you may not be able to move large furniture with this car, you will be able to transport adults in comfort or bring home a lot of stuff. Hatchback cars like the Note are great for large shopping trips or a weekend trip.

Eco-Friendly Cars and Low Technology

Nissan future cars are often though of as being extremely high-tech. This does not have to always be the case. Remember that technology relies on a lot of rare earths and metals. Using them is hard on the environment. Sometimes eco friendly cars are simply small, with minimal features and efficient fuel use. The Note is a great example of such an inexpensive but eco-friendly car.
